Youth For Green Innovation Celebrates Ful Bizu (12 April,2025) with Eco-Friendly Traditions in Rangamati
On the exulting occasion of Ful Bizu, Youth for Green Innovation took a worthwhile step toward a plastic-free future in Rangamati Hill District. As part of the ongoing "Say No to Plastic" campaign, volunteers distributed banana leaves as eco-friendly alternatives to plastic plates during traditional flower offerings at Kerani Pahar, Rangamati Sadar, Rangamati.
Ful Bizu symbolizes renewal, deeply rooted in nature, culture and community. However, increasing plastic use has disrupted this delicate balance. Our initiative aimed to reconnect tradition with sustainability, proving that cultural celebrations can thrive without harming the environment.
By choosing biodegradable alternatives, we honored both our heritage and our responsibility toward a greener planet. Together, let’s keep the spirit of Ful Bizu alive, naturally and sustainably!
Location: Kerani Pahar, Rangamati Sadar, Rangamati District, Bangladesh.

Youth For Green Innovation Awareness Campaign: Building a Plastic-Free Future.
On April 5th to 7th, 2025, Youth For Green Innovation embarked on a transformative three-day awareness campaign across Rangamati and Shijok, Baghaichari, inspiring communities to embrace a plastic-free Bizu Festival. The initiative highlighted the environmental impact of single-use plastics, particularly during the Ful Bizu celebrations, while promoting sustainable alternatives like banana leaves and natural materials to honor both tradition and nature.
The campaign began with Day 1 in Asambosti, Rangapani, Banabihar, Rajbari, Debasisnagar, Valedi and Morghana, where dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers engaged locals through educational outreach and meaningful conversations about reducing plastic waste. Day 2 built on this momentum, expanding efforts to Banarupa, TTC, Technical Para, Rangamati Murray Stadium and Kalendipur, reinforcing the importance of eco-conscious choices. The final day, Day 3, saw the team in Shijok, Baghaichari, where the dedication of Bhuban Chakma and his team ensured the campaign’s resounding success, further amplifying its reach and impact.
This movement exemplifies the power of collective action in driving meaningful change. By uniting communities under a shared vision for sustainability, Youth For Green Innovation demonstrates how small, deliberate steps can create a lasting positive impact on our environment. Together, we are not only preserving the beauty of the Rangamati Hill Tracts but also paving the way for a greener, healthier future. Together, we are proving that small actions lead to big changes.
